Having just installed the new lighting setup on my touring kayak, I started this trip late in the afternoon so I would have an opportunity to test it out. The river itself was about what I expected - primarily tidal with clay banks, slowly becoming narrower the further I went along. On the way back, I encountered the worst fog I've ever seen. It was fun using the boat's built-in compass to navigate my way down the river when I couldn't see either bank. Near the end I was exhausted and started feeling the effects of mild hypothermia. Over all, it was an awesome trip.
