Hey Mag, I was wondering if you'd be up to making a short story to place on the forums so we can inform more people about what is going on in-game.

My outline so far:
-Jeebs' finds a green emerald ring in the bottom of the ruins
-The Emerald Ring has magical properties that allow Jeebs to teleport short distances but takes a lot out of him
-The ring eventually possesses Jeebs
-Tempos the god of battles is not the true owner of the ring (plot twist later)
-Magnus G is a Templar Knight of Tempos (your choice how you'd like to RP this)
-Mystria the diety of magics is the true owner (final end chapter)

Also, I'd like to see, if your interested in being involved in this Gaku either in game help PC character or NPC any or all help is appreciated.

Or if you want to suggest ideas for the storyline im all ears.

The only problem that I have is the ability to make interesting and convincing RP stories for the forums. Even if they are short they would be better than nothing...

I was going to say, if you need any custom graphics, monsters, NPCs, etc. added, I can do that. Static things (e.g. a monster similar to one that already exists, an NPC that always says the same thing, or an item that has no actual effect) would be easy to add. I don't want to take the time to program a new dynamic system for this, though.

I've talked to Locke about being a consultant in helping with these new things. Seeing as how he dosen't play anymore and would like to help he would be a great addition. He has helped me with starting Red Moon Co before when I RPed it without GM.

With GM it will be a lot easier.

I like that storyline so far. If you want story posts for the forum to to build up interest or add flavor, I can do that well. Magnus looks like he does a pretty good job of that as it is, though, so let me know if you want me to write anything.

What exactly is the rings relation to tempos, and what does the possession of jeebs change about him?

The ring could be a magical artifact created by Tempos, originally intended for use by his followers/slaves/whatever he would have.

I think we maybe should hold off on the Mystria thing for now. It just seems pretty complicated, and Tempos is a God of War/Battles, so it seems weird someone would possess him or what not.

As for what the ring does to Jeebs, I think it allows him to teleport and summon monsters. Maybe it could be a summoning ring of some type? I think it should also drive him partially insane to justify the spawns. Once hes defeated, we could say it broke the spell/curse, and then Tempos himself could appear in some form or another.

Also, for bosses, would it be feasible to give a player a character with hacked stats and load them with good, unengraved equipment? Just fill their inventory up with unengraved stuff, so when they're taken down, they'll have a good drop.

I was talking with Dean about characters like this. Didn't think about making them hacked per say, but if that's possible it would be easier. If not, I'll just create a new key to let people be NPC/PC's.

Rem has re-created my icon. I can/should use that when I find/get the ring. I'll show a pic later when I see it.....

About the actual quest. I'll be in the party assisting them with their quest while MG, GM's. When we reach the bottom throne room, i'll find the ring and say, "HREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!".

*Jeebs then turns into Jeebs2 icon and warps around the room a bit*

Then Jeebs will say :"I don't feel too good, please take me to town..."

((Magnus G then appears))

"Hey old man! Give me back that ring now.!" (lul)

Jeebs says:"I can't it's ssssstuuck.

Magnus:"Dead or alive the ring is all I want.....

((MG then spawns Kinder Muts and Flickers))

Firstly, I always thought it'd be cool to have a Hacked (not outrageously like dreams was) character for rp events and battles and such. Like maybe give them shitloads of hp mp, but don't really give them additional skills/stats (unless they're like slight (very slight) boosts to attack/defense/resistance) and possibly make them immune to status spells and the like.


I'm not against anything else in the above posts, however since it really wasn't my idea, I'm still unclear on how this all ties into tempos in the first place, to even begin to write about the story to go with the event.

Either that, or since Magnus is a disciple/priest of Tempos, he'd consider the ring his because hes a follower of said god. The latter sounds better to me.

Depending on if you're wanting something light-hearted or serious, I think instead of the ring being stuck, its powers should immediately have some effect on Jeebs and make him want to keep it, though that is pretty cliche. Alternatively, Magnus could attack without asking for it back first, but that's also not very probable. Maybe I just think about these things too much...

I'm also unclear about what the fiction post should be about. Should it be a short thing about the party exploring the ruins, finding the ring, and then the ensuing battle over it, ending with Jeebs teleporting away? If so, who else is there? Anyone important, or just random adventurers x, y, and z?

Finally, on a side note, you mentioned before that part of the plot might be that Tempos doesn't like magic. To give him a reason for this, he could have his own order of knights (which Magnus could be a member or even the leader of), and he could be frustrated that wizards give them so much trouble, and want to wipe out wizards and anyone that supports them or magic in general. If you guys like this idea, we could have his most icon mob minions be things that're strong physically and/or weak to mages, to further support the idea that he is frustrated by magic.

That's what I was going for. You read my mind. I think it's pretty straightforward on the direction we are heading with this. We don't have no make it perfect Locke, just make it look decent enough to post on the forums and you have as much freedom in writting whatever you'd like it to be....
