However, that does not change the fact that half the duping bugs can be done in secret/leaving next to no traces and we can't be on 24/7 to be watching everyone and everything.

Even if we put that aside, my reason for not having any GMs in the game applies to this as well. Even if a GM is "trustworthy", they'll always be accused of abuse for every little thing whenever the chance arises. Complaints about people doing well being because of bug abuse will flood the forums and they can't all be thoroughly investigated.

If people wanna complain without evidence then that's their problem.

People will find ways to abuse the bugs ingame to frame other users.

Case in point:

Bob hates Tom. Bob dupes a few Silver Doom-Tonfa of the Cheetah and gives it to an idle Tom. After waiting a bit for ingame chatter, he kills Tom, then takes the eventual gravedrops.

"whats this?! TOM IS DUPING HE HAS TWO WEAPS SAME QUALITY AND EVERYTHING BAN NOW BAN NOW BAN NOW"

Taking up an admin's time with stunts like that will happen, and there will be much *****ing.

And yes, I know how this community operates. Someone WILL crack that scheme to get their enemies banned/deleted.

How can you think reverting the game to such a broken state would be for the good of the players and the state of the game?

You want it to be reverted to a time when people can easily outlevel and outpower other players and KEEP it that way without much effort.

Would I be correct in guessing that your little group gained a bit of power now that the people who smacked you guys down stopped playing? And now you guys want to have total control over the game or something?

You should try playing the game before making such assumptions.

Reverting would prevent that from happening. The current state of the game is that a no-lifer absolutely destroys casual players. The old way makes it even for both people who wanna no-life and people who play casually.

A no-lifer destroys a casual player group of the amount of 7. This should not be happening 1v7 in a BYOND GAME. IT IS NOT WOW, GW, ETC.
