Wrong. The icons that are historic have true ownership to the people that used them.

I don't like being ganged up on, and that's what they did to me. Just so they could have it.

They went behind my back to get ownership instead of telling me that I needed to ask Marcus. Which is stupid, because it was given to me by him. All icons back then were considered given because Marcus would take icons away from people he didn't like. Kaji made it this way for those who remember.

I'm not sure what caused you to come to this conclusion, but it's wrong. Why in the hell would I encourage people to come to me with "Wahh, I don't like this person any more, take away their icon!" My assumption has always been that once an icon is given, it can't be taken back, at least not without the user's permission. Or are you implying that Dream could come back one day, say "oh, but I never specifically said I was 'giving' the icon away...", and now anyone who feels like it can be "Gakumerasara"?

And testing out an icon for 2 seconds that was given to you SPECIFICALLY SO IT COULD BE USED ON SOMEONE ELSE somehow makes you the original owner?

This makes no sense. Why is this even being debated?

With the new icon rule the creator of the icon can decide if it was loaned or given. Historic icons are a completely different story.

Because I'd like to think some part of me is good, I'd like to clarify what i was saying yesterday/earlier.

In the past People have tried to ignore the icon checkers/moderators of FFO and go to gaku to get icons removed, And were swiftly denied because they didn't have any legit reason in order to do so. Such as a case is myself trying to get an icon i made removed because the person had pissed me off.

So when the Icon checkers were elected for the first time, this was one of the major rules "No Indian giving". And to this day the rule is still in effect. But the problem and how that rule associates to this day is, Ownership of the icon.

If nolynn had any real ownership of the icon, when it was being used in the past by anyone other than herself, She would have done/said something about it. People sometimes talk to us about FFO drama while we're in the process of quitting, so there cannot be any way she couldn't have heard about it, and if she did infact not hear about it, where should the fault lay? Just because she missed the oppertunity to claim the icon doesen't mean she's entitled to it, which is a point no one has yet to even address in this conversation.

Just because someone knows you by an icon doesen't entitle you to that icon. Icons have been casually reused in this sense, Look at peter, and infact look at a few of katis icons that she did infact give away. Some she let people use and others people begged her for. It's like saying Simp cannot use my solus icon because I used it on solus.

Be completely honest though, is this ****storm really neccesary for a single icon? A single icon that might i add was cast aside several times, and now that all of a sudden someone else that one of it's wearers doesen't like is trying to use it, she want's it back.

Similar case, My friend Tae casts a toy in the trash.
I Pick that toy back up and start having fun with it.
All of a sudden Tae wants it back.
He completely abandoned it, so as far as i know it's mine.

I'd also like to point out the icon was made well over 2 years ago, and nolynn has played on and off in those two years, and has used millions of icons, and could have gotten the rita icon from so many people in the society including myself but choose not to.

When will you understand that I was never asking anyone for the icon file? I have had it, and I've always had it since years ago. Even from when I switched computers.

It was used by me first and I used it for about two years. Just because I have used other icons doesn't mean that this particular icon isn't mine. That's like saying because someone such as yourself or Po has used many icons back then, they now do not have ownership over those icons.

No, I never heard that someone else used it. How is it my fault that I didn't hear about it? I quit the game and told people to not talk to me about it. So they did not. There is no problem here.

If I didn't think the icon is mine and if I did not like the icon I wouldn't have made this thread about it.

The fact is: the icon checkers never explained what was being said about the icon during the four hours of when I sent it in to Relleth to be submitted as my icon, and then Kikuri zipping to you to ask for permission to use this icon. They went behind my back to make sure that they could sway the rules and get the permission from the icon creator and not the icon owner. It was used on me first, it was MADE FOR ME.

You denying this, Marcus, makes me sick to my stomach. You, Jules, and myself spent a lot of time trying to make me that special icon that we were all very excited about. Yes it apparently got used in my absence, but that doesn't mean that it is not mine since it was made for me, which means it was given to me. Therefore I am its true owner.

I am sure marcus will be mad at me for saying this, but I am going to anyway because it is just the brutally honest and painfully blunt person I am. I'm not shocked hes siding with Kiku/Sam on this as hes been kissing her ass quite a bit as of late on skype etc, so him giving her permission/ownership over the icon all of a sudden like this is no shock to me.

Personally, I don't give a **** about impressing one friend or another, Right is right, wrong is wrong. If you helped make an icon for somebody its wrong to jew them out of it for -any- reason no matter how long its been since its been made.

I fail to understand how my point in this topic relates to me kissing samanthas ass in any way, and damn skippy if so, I don't like to fight among friends and here i feel as though i am not, I am only strongly opposing nolynn because shes being immature and fails to pay any attention to what i've been saying to her from the start.

It is not hard to choke up your pride for two seconds and be respectful and approach people the right way, when you are an asshole and fight with fire, people use fire back, it's alot easier to get your way when you're on good terms when it comes to any topic.
