+900% Projectile prof rate for BBs (Dean/Deylin)

Discuss.

Why only black belts?

There are only like 2 other things that took quite as long for Black Belts to raise than Projectile (pretty sure it was made this way because of back when guns + master in full mithril = OHKO)

Projectile on bb was the worst penalty in the game. It was 6.667. No other penalty in the game even came close. With the new natural proffing system, it was impossible to train.

Example: I trained for two hours solid with a slingshot on a master, didn't gain a single prof. This is going from 1 to 2.

Okay that makes sense, but how much of a boost is 900%? Does that put it at the same or higher than other classes? Just because it had the highest penalty doesn't mean it should now be the easiest to train (if its higher).

PC domain shops sell higher quality equipment (Dean/Deylin) o

This is not necessary. Maximum equipment value in shops was already increased twice before.
130% equipment shop inventory value o (Nov 2010)
+50% Argo shop value o (June 2011)

I would like to hear the reason why we need another boost to shop values.

Tangible benefits to domain ownership/upkeep.

Have you checked the shops yet?

There's another update that may or may not be put in. Requires a pwipe. Items will be more important in the long run if it is put in so the slightly better shops available in domains will be appreciable.

I understand but, shouldn't these ideas be put in a suggestion topic for discussion rather than randomly tossed in the game without majority of the players knowing what is going on? That way time won't be wasted on an update that wasn't fully considered. Opinions from the whole community are important because we don't want a game centered around only a few groups that think of the ideas (this includes the giant Dean/Deylin update list as well as things like newbie groups vs veteran groups).

We could try using the idea of the longer you own a domain, the better the benefits, such as equipment value in shops etc.

Edit: Also, why does there NEED to be tangible benefits to living in a domain? I bet you more than 50% of the community find living in a domain/participating in domain warfare MUCH more fun than living in Argo all the time.

Community QQ's, gets the game shut down for the weekend. We make suggestions that address their QQ'ing. Gaku goes over the suggestions objectively and some of it gets put in while some of it doesn't.

Making benefits based on how long you own the domain is more complex than simply giving you benefits for owning a domain.

I bet you more than 50% of the community find living in a domain/participating in domain warfare MUCH more fun than living in Argo all the time.

I bet you're only right about the first part, aka living in a domain vs living in Argo. From what I've observed people rage-quit after they lose and dislike domain warfare for the most part.

I do not really see why anyone is arguing about it. Its not like It negatively effects anyone, why ***** just to *****? Lost of things go in/get taken out of the game with little or no prior notice to the playerbase (aka all marcus updates). Hell its just a courtesy that gaku even tells you.

reply to Hot And Dangerous:

Giving each player 1 million gold doesn't negatively impact them, yet that is still going too far. Its about keeping things realistic and balanced to an extent. I don't know how much the values were raised, so I admit I may have spoken too soon, but I still believe that just raising the values further without a "catch" is not the right way to handle it.
And the reason ideas are discussed is because if Gaku only sees 10 people's opinion on something, he's missing like 90% of the community who might not like this idea and then all of the sudden, he ends up with much less people playing his game. Obviously the number of players will not matter as much in FFO as it will in Terulia though, but why get in the habit now?

Edit: Also
can no longer hire guards (Dean/Deylin) o
Reason? I understand the level reduction but I would like to hear the reason for this as well.

reply to Jimmy Dean:

10 people is an example, and just because there isn't usually more than 15 people on at a time, doesn't mean those are the only 15 people in the community.

And why can't guard limit just be reduced from 15 to about 7ish and remove the captains? Having only one level 1 guard to protect a town when army is inactive is sort of silly.

The overall Idea is not to lure mobs to your town anyway.

When the guard dies the army will activate anyway.

Umm I know ALL of the updates are Dean/Deylin and not all credit should go to them but I can only prove ONE FOR NOW HERE YOU GO:

http://z3.invisionfree.com/ffo/index.php?showtopic=11217

so if you could just switch their names with mine that'd be really appreciated.

Black Mage Dual Wielding is 10.0 last I heard.

Shouldn't that get a nice buff like BB Proj? Seriously, it's gonna be damn-near impossible to prof DW on a BW now.

You're right, I forgot about bm dual wielding and it should get a buff. AKA make a suggestion thread for it.
