Just like any good game that has a aggro system, where the class that's the tankiest has a aggro gaining system to protect the squishier classes.

It makes you immobile and that causes a ton of problems.
Nothing like trying to save a white mage after drawing all the mobs, only to find yourself unable to stop the stray mob from critting the mage. _________________________________________ |

Hm, that does sound like a problem. I think there was this one guy in the community who was really good at pointing out the different types of problems.

Problems that should be easy to spot. If you're immobile and not moving away from the mage, the mage will still get attacked generally because,
A. You use defend right next to the mage, the mage gets hit by a mob that can't reach you, and exhaust's it's attack on the nearest target, which is the mage. B. You're away from the mage, you're out of range to aggro anything near the mage, usually the mage is running away from mobs, and away from you. C. You don't generate enough aggro to get the mobs off the mage and sit there while the mage runs away, having mobs still chase the mage instead of moving with the mage and getting the aggro of his/her back. It looks like Terulia has a few taunts that should hopefully solve these problems. _________________________________________ |

Your "drawing aggro" concept is inherently flawed. Monsters should play with some level of intelligence otherwise it reduces the level of challenge.

They should be intelligent to a certain extent. but as their also just monsters defend/parry should make them all go to you. Its like throwing pebbles at a beast while its trying to eat someone itll get pissed and go after you and deal with the person later. There beast by nature and beasts are generally controlled by anger. _________________________________________ |

thats the issue, thats why he was said you should be able to move, when a warrior needs to get a beasts attention he would yell loudly and move around. nothing pisses off an enemy more then an annoying idiot screaming at the top of his lungs while its trying to enjoy a peaceful dinner. _________________________________________ |
