Icon rules have been pretty vague in the past year or so at least. Lately I was working with Stella to come up with solid guidelines for them so we wouldn't have this problem anymore, but they weren't implemented before I got removed.

I did send the rough draft to Gaku though, and with the exception of one of those rules, I still think they're pretty decent.

Also I'm sure if you guys get together and make a discussion topic on the subject and come up with something solid yourself, Gaku would be happy to implement it, but just keep in mind what he wants to keep out of the game, like characters from other games and what not.

Funny I got removed for the rules we were working together on and they werent even in yet. No notification or nothing. Just Ian being his hypocritical self, as usual. He and his girl friend hate me, I killed his girl friend that day for emo raging in ffo and pissing everyone off. So in other words, here is another reason why he shouldnt be icon checker. If he had such a big issue with the icons I had put in, he shoulda talked it with me and kiki (the only other icon checkers at the moment) instead of going straight to Gaku so he could get his little girl friend in as icon checker out of a grudge. Oh, and I bet Locke we both know how well she is qualified, right buddy?

yeah I thought it was this way too with the icons, hell even kiki thought it. But Ian once again went over both our heads to get me removed for a small little funny act. But hey, at least MOST of our icon checker team isnt corrupt.

the way things are to my understanding of this, even i may be a better icon checker than Oondi and Emma if i get some training/read the rules for icons etc., at least i would help people get there icons in the way they want to without breaking the rules instead of just changing them or removing them/not putting them in. if there is a problem with it or it can't be put in i would at least talk to the person first to see how they want to go about fixing it and i would fix it for them as long as it's not breaking the rules.

Personally I've never been a fan of the Fire Emblem lookalike icons but at least they're still a step up from Squarevatars™, where the portrait is zoomed in enough so that it completely fleshes out the icon borders.
