But then again, that might not be so bad with the idea of an infinite level cap.

You're really one that needs to get their eyes checked.. The level cap is 55

Really, thanks for ungimping melee classes with the WLC increase, Gaku. Mages are *** anyway.

However, some of us have done the math and, well, two-three months to wait for the WLC seems a bit much, especially when compared to the last several hostings which had the increased WLC speed boost thinger. That made those hostings bearable, and I believe doing something to hasten this hosting's WLC will keep the players who actually wanted this revert to happen from quitting as a result of just sitting in a domain waiting a week for that next levelup.

To solve this issue, I propose that one of the following changes be implemented for a more rapid WLC growth (or at least, one that isn't painfully slow) while also keeping people playing the game indefinitely and not having people just sitting around with their three capped alts doing nothing:

-Do what was implemented in the last few hostings where WLC days were "skipped" every FFO day (easiest solution, despite some issues)

-Bump the current WLC to 45 (PLC still exists to prevent lolpowerleveling so people won't be gods among the other players overnight)

-Readjust the prof cap equation to what it was at the start of the hosting, disallow profs to exceed 80, double WLC rate, and remove a hard WLC (this way, there won't be that point where capped players are just sitting in domains, but rather, they're still training and leveling up. On that note, the experience required to reach almost anything past level 40 will be more than enough so that people aren't powerleveling)

I'm all for any of these possibilities, and I'd like to see what the rest of the community thinks of them.

I'll go to the eye doctor first thing tomorrow morning

This update only screwed me over in the sense that i dont have tier 3s yet and now wont for a while, while aslmost everyone else has theirs. As far as armor, I never worried about it on a wizard so much because there's that whole "kiting" thing. Also i think if fizzle rate was added to armor though then light armor's passive should still be fixed (run while attacking) since it was still broken in this hosting

1 thing i find odd so far is how my Armour prof was dropped from like 36 or so down to 31 and i'm still able to use my Dragon Leggings that require Armour 36 according to FFO Basically.....although if i unequip them i may be screwed cause i likely wouldn't be able to put them back on.
Edit: Would have been nice if Equipping Shields with Polearms was Added, then i could gather wood a bit easier at night.

I like the update :B but, Gaku said he wouldn't update. I thin this requires a revote and we should revert to the pre-reverted server :o

I agree on a vote to undo the ***ness gaku did

another reason to leave the damn armor system the way it was. when i went out on a training run on my rw and used my heavy gear i was looking at 3k repairs at worst maybe 10k. with all mage gear im looking at 10k and sometimes even 50k repairs. thats bull**** that a mage should have to spend over 3 times as much money as a knight to repair especially when the knights/melees are the ones who get all the champ drops just saying.

ive been wearing mid/midhigh mage gear and my reps are 5k or less without fail. you uh, might not want to run around in full perfected warlock with high tier suffixes and elements

so because you choose to wear very low tier crap gear with no suffixes thats means everyone else should have to as well? I'm sorry that seems very biased and tbh my gear i9snt even that high tier id say the highest gear im wearing is masterwork enchanter wayfarer and a standard glittering bracelet. im sorry mint but i dont like getting 1-2 shotted in pvp like you i prefer to actually live ^^

as i said before i agree with killa the pre existing agreement was gaku was gona leave this hosting the hell alone and not *** it up which is the entire reason me and many players came back

To be fair, when I wore high tier armor and had repairing issues, people told me not to wear high tier gear. Ever since, I have worn full Silas gear.

It has worked fine for me.

You unequip Mint's Standard Crimson Gloves of the Sapling.
You unequip Mint's Warlock Leggings of the Newt.
masterwork enchanter wayf is the kinda gear i mean. just because you cant balance having good gear and not having 50k reps doesnt mean no one else can

Like i said you have very low tier gear which is fine if thats how you like to play the game. my mage gear needs to be at high quality for spell power in pvp. thats why i used heavy gear when i trained for lesser repair costs it gave playability to the game the way it is now i have to use the same gear for pvp and pve which means insane repair bills or using an entirely seperate set for pve which means another assload of money.

***- perfect leather gear works... for you if i put that on ill never cast a spell. if i took novice and perfected it mobs would hit me for double the amount they do right now and my spells wouldnt do any damage so i dont feel thats a viable option for me

With a shield, you can reduce the damage by quite a bit. As a mage, you should be able to kite the mobs fairly well.

I have a shield. kiting is a bit of an issue when every step you spawn 10 more mobs like last night in the ruins when rylars gear got raped he couldnt avoid that cus of agro system but if he had heavy gear his repairs would of been dramatically less

Thats what a parry knight is for. Or people in the party who can peel the mobs off and do more damage. Yes, when a single healer in full mage is not kiting mobs and there is almost no one to deal damage, they will have hefty repair costs. That is a fact of the game that has always been true.

No begging for updates/changes to this version. If Gaku changes anything, it'll be his own choice, not any players.

Have a nice day.
