All I was saying is if you see something, say something. Your standing up for the community, and for FFO, is something that isn't hopeless or useless. If you suspect someone, please voice that opinion.

I did not create this topic for people to begin to get derailed onto topics about the past. Things that do not even matter now. If you did wrong, don't do it again. If you didn't do wrong, keep at it. That's how this whole becoming a better person thing goes.

And if you don't, you will be dealt with.

I understand and am not taking offense to your claims of my admin abuse. Even I will admit that retrospectively not allowing it at all would have been a better step. I have multiple reasons for allowing it, mostly reasons that I have been requested to keep secret by friends, and I am under no oath to reveal such. This is why I never went into detail about it and allowed people to think whatever of it.

However, I can ensure three things about the thought process behind it.

1) The scenario presented to me had a rather odd situation where no matter my response I would in some form be betraying the community or the game.

2) I allowed it while it was recreational and not used for greifing purposes.

3) I began enforcing rules as soon as it became an issue.

In a game like FFO, any random event can drastically tip the scale of the lifespan of the game and more specifically the server. There's no way of knowing whether one action instead of another will do anything, and at the time I made the decision I did because I believed it was in the best interest of preserving the hosting.
