do you not understand that even tho there are penalties for a bw to wear heavy they would still be able to be invincible if they can wear addy before everyone else would you find it fair for a nuke class to tank better than the tank class? seriously its unfair to change the prof requirements because it would become MORE mage oriented

So what you're saying is it's unfair for a BW to have a 1.25x modifier on heavy armor, because they will be able to wear a full set of adamant at ~62 armor?
As opposed to 49 for a Knight? Do any BWs have 62 armor right now? You see why this is a stupid claim right? _________________________________________ |

If it's honestly that much of a problem, and if BWs actually DO prof that fast(which I do not believe), then their prof rate could easily be tweaked in favor of more customization options earlier in the game. Balance is hard guys. (hint: in this case, it isn't) _________________________________________ |

Okay so I worded that wrong, what I meant was bws will hit 62 armor before a knight will hit 49
You really should be playing bw before you argue their prof rate on armor _________________________________________ Letha says: Mint is more of a man than me. |

Ignorance is bliss, I'm done here, you're refusing to see the issues with your suggestion and want to change almost entirely the way **** works just to implement it
And it isn't even a good idea if it didn't have issues _________________________________________ Letha says: Mint is more of a man than me. |

Bye. Also: the irony of that post. Ahahahaha... _________________________________________ |

2 profs per 4 hours of getting the **** beat out of you. Because that's totally easier than say 10 or more profs every 2 hours. _________________________________________ |

As someone that's mained BW this entire hosting I just wanna put in my 2 cents.
@Rarity: -I dunno what you were doing with your BW the whole time, but I've been capped for roughly a week and my armor prof is still under 40. I'm gonna side with Korin on this one, although I did see the update stating BW's prof armor much much faster. -Tanking melee attacks is cool, status spells are cool. Temper/saber + Gk's are cool. Doesn't really matter though. It's a useless way to play BW's because a capped saber/temper, and a perfect great bane-knife of the cheetah will never deal as much damage as a well played BW's with similar profs on his spells and any staff above chronos. The reason being, BW physical strength gains are way too low for it to be anything greater than a cheap gimmick for laughs. @Fluttershy: -I don't get how you honestly think a BW would be invincible in heavy armor. He'd actually be more vulnerable than before. At level 55, I have 940ish hp. With double tigers I had just over 1200. In full archwizard (minus 1 bbracelet which is sage) my dark 2 does 450+ damage without any dark resistance. Do the math. That's 3 spells (assuming I have double tigers on my archwizard) before I'm dead. If the target has no magic resistance I'll deal just below 900 damage. A black wizard in full adamantine armor will have a bit of magic resistance because of natural stats, so let's say on said theoretical BW about 800 damage per dark 2. In double collossus a 940 hp BW will have 1900 health. That's 2 and a half dark 2's to kill said BW at 800 damage a pop. Keeping in mind that because of their lowered resistance the inevitable berserk spell will last even longer than usual. If you walk in tempered, sabered and with a GK good for you, really, I'm proud. But I'm still gonna blow you up on the spot. You're both talking out of your ass and not thinking at all. @Exophus: I've always thought the prof penalties were a little screwy. Changing heavy armor to mess up casting on mages and then starting RMs in heavy armor and they get penalized on mage gear. Tweaking the prof req penalties on armor is a bit....idk that it really needs to be. Because then you open the question of weapon penalties as well. RW's get penalized on staffs, for instance. But it absolutely HAS to be one of their main weapons. Or the fact RW's get penalized on black and white magic. From a balance standpoint fizzle rates would have to be looked at, primarily. Increase the fizzle boost on heavy, lower natural fizzle rate because as it is, it's ridiculous (for me, idk about other people). Other things would have to looked at too I think, potentially weight of armor pieces, the effect of weight on stamina and speed so on and so forth. If this comes to a vote, I'd go with leave as is. Opens up too many questions/changes. And inevitably a ton more balancing/testing necessary. _________________________________________ Haze wrote:
