You're exaggerating and we both know it. Upper mid tier is crimson/enchanter stuff. Sorc isn't even available until domain shops are built. So no, it's not unlocked as soon as people leave the island.

These complaints are mostly from people that never get their hands on top tier items.

Crimson Bracelets can/could spawn in shops.

Level 27 Garlands are often unfavorable because they drop too expensive stuff.
