people keep joking about how chakra allows you to do anything, and apparently it's one of the big reasons vurtex can raid ruins so early on. however the mantra debuff i'm a little sad about, i liked it being so powerful. since it's weak again now, do you think we could have the initial frontside lag be reduced or removed so it's easier to actually 'aim'?

reply to Elias:

Chakra doesn't save me from bulls or trolls, neither from ruins/wt second floor spawns. I don't think Vurtex uses chakra to heal himself while raiding ruins, it takes alot of cure gear to get chakra to heal a nice ammount, and cure gear inside ruins is suicide, also tyr raids ruins without chakra.

reply to Cea:

Your profs boost chakra's power by half of what it used to be.

@elias: it isnt a joke, Chakra really does allow you to do anything, given the right conditions. Wear 4 MW+ pure pieces with a decent chakra prof and watch as suddenly every mob you face turns into a laughing stock, aside from shades, images, and even ****ty little shadows start popping 200 dark 1's.

Last hosting I was wearing 4 fine pure pieces and 2 fine remedy pieces and I was solo running embers for spawn chests and slaying them in Shiva room. In fact, because chakra for 200 is so amazing, I was able to FIGHT (note not simply "survive") groups of 4 flayers with one to two ember wyrms without having to use a single hipot unless I got melee'd like twice in a row. And then the hi-pot was for like 2k.

With all this, wanna know what I was mantraing for? 500-650 a use.

when I was a bb I did full unholy and was chakra'ing for thousands of health you don't HAVE to use cure gear silly goose. I bet you a ton he's got full unholy and chakra himself for 2000 health.

Full heal gear you're just being stupid now son....

I could understand the 50% reduction on mantra, but chakra was already so useless compared to mantra that I never even used it. It'd also have been nice if the 50% reduction only applied to the prof effect on health restored and not mana. It barely restored any mana to begin with.

Why no update on the champs? We pretty much agreed that if perma/spawn chests were removed that champs should get some sort of buff not only in terms of strength but also items.

Been testing Manta and Chakra since the update. This most recent update was a bit harsh.

At level 25 I've got 570 max health with no health suffixes on.

On average my Chakra is restoring 38 health and taking up about 1/10th of my stamina per use.

Mantra is restoring about 90 health and using 1/5th of my stamina per use.

What was the need to compound the stamina costs?

Mantra I can understand since it's a support spell but Chakra was borderline useless prior to the update since Mantra restored so much more. With it restoring so little it's usless in the heat of a battle meaning it would be used after a battle when the monsters are dead, in which case you may as well use Mantra. Masters have the potential for more damage than knights long term but they're not a defensive class. Masters got thrown under the bus with this recent update. I think the nerf could have been handled slightly better.

Neither of these is intended to be used in the heat of battle.

Why have both? Couldn't we just remove Chakra altogether?
Seems like its only purpose is in unlocking Mantra if you compare the effect of both.

As someone already mentioned, level scaling will resolve this issue in time.

Sucks when you have to do the same if you have the worst defence rate and dodge.

Wouldn't it be easier if we just turned chakra and mantra into the black belt versions of pray and meditate?

Except instead of affecting parties, they just affect the user alone and recover HP/MP/Stamina faster than Pray or Meditate can. And give them the same recoils as Pray and Meditate.

I don't see anyone abusing Meditate in-battle so I'm sure this would work fine but that's just me.
