Last night I went and sent my old Red Wizard icon to Relleth.

You know, this one, the one I had used originally for about a year or two. Then suddenly when I quit, it's tossed around like a prostitute and is no longer mine and is suddenly Kikuri's. Although, when Blossom and other players have quit, you can't use their icons anymore without their permission. Even though Marcus created the icon, you still needed Blossom's permission. Marcus created that icon above, but it was for ME. Marcus, Jules(Zapno) and I spent a lot of time on that icon to make it awesome.

The rule should still follow through with my icon. It was originally for my character, so why does Kikuri suddenly have power over it? Why does the icon maker in this particular case get to be the one to decide who has permission to use the icon? But in another case, it was Blossom's permission?

This is when I set my icon in to Relleth for it to be put in:

WHEN I got to talking to her about it, we went to Marcus, where she got the legitimate and not-proof-by-word proof to use the icon, unlike you.

THEN we all got in a group and tried talking about it civilly, but you continued to assume we were all out to get you, which we aren't. We explained to you that the proper way to get permission to use the icon was to directly go to Marcus and ask him directly, not just say you got permission.

As a tip, raging, claiming that we're out to get you, then ragequitting a conversation doesn't help with Marcus letting you use the icon, either.

One would think, if an icon was originally created for a person that they would have a lasting permission to use it seeing as it was 'created for them' to begin with, that would be logical. Zipping to marcus the moment you knew she intended to use her icon again to ensure exclusive rights to it by way of the new icon rules, is very shady to say the least, just saying.

Yes the icon WAS yours. It was taken away and given to ME. I thought this might come up, so when all the icons were removed I told Relleth about this icon dilemma, and we agreed to let the creator (Marcus) decide who could use it. So if this icon was sent to one of us, we had to ask the creator (Marcus) who had the rights.

TL;DR: You had the icon then it was taken away. You lost the rights to it.

I don't really see why there's debate over this to be honest.

It's kind of dumb to take someone else's icon and use let another person use it, whether or not the creator of the icon agreed. I personally wouldn't ever take, say, Gambas' icon and let anyone use it. It's what he was known as for a period of time in this game. It could easily cause confusion/disappointment, especially considering the fact that we don't know everyone's name upon first seeing them in game.

*checks the who list to see who's on*
*sees Gambas' icon in who*
"Oh cool, Gambas is playing!"

You never informed him who was trying to use MY ORIGINAL ICON. This icon was made for ME. It was MINE. Just like Exo said, you can't give people's original icons away to other people just because they didn't play for awhile. That's bull****!

You guys never even gave me time or informed me what was going down for me to do anything about it. You went behind my back to ensure you could use MY icon. Which makes no sense anyway, since IT'S MINE.

this is why I ask people that create icons if it's a loan or if it's a gift. You've "loaned" a few icons out only to take them back when you get upset with them. Guess what? You upset the creator when he LOANED you that icon. By the way do you have any proof that he gave that icon to you to keep forever? Back then those rules about loaning or giving were not in effect so therefore they do not count. It was made for me, it was used by me for years. It was MINE. It has the same rules as someone like Brodi's icon, Oond's icon, Gambas' icon, Blossom's icon.

Loaned an icon? As someone impartial to either side here, even I can say that sounds like some BS.

This whole situation is akin to Blizzard swapping the character models out for two major characters.. Imagine if they swapped Thrall's model with the Lich King's model permanently. People would be like ".. the ****?"

On the same note, yall stole icons from the old forums and gave them to people like Grim's icon who I personally asked and he told me he never gave anyone permission to use. Which you then put on Haste, Relleth.

Not to mention.. my icon which has never been questioned before is now taking 3 days to go in?

I vote we replace Kiku as head icon checker as the power has clearly gone to her head, abusing her position to usurp icons that she likes that were MADE for other people? thats is clearly a violation of position if I ever saw one, rushing off to marcus to nab rights to it without even doing her job and telling dey she needed to do such BEFORE HAND which would be the correct way to do things. Selfishness is no way to do ones job and is generally speaking grounds to get fired ANYWHERE, as they say "The customer is always right.".

With that icon I had Oondi's permission to use his icons as bases/use them as a whole. You guys didn't let that even go through when I had the permission.

Also: THE ICON IS AN OLD ICON, WHEN THE RULES WERE NOT MADE ON WHETHER AN ICON IS LOANED OR GIVEN.

it follows the SAME RULE as all the other historic icons. It was on MY CHARACTER, made FOR ME. No one else played it. Until I quit to play League for awhile.

You guy's wouldn't let any other historic icons get used but you suddenly let mine, and you KNOW IT'S MINE BECAUSE I USED IT FIRST, AND FOR YEARS AT THAT.

The thing I am pissed off most is that they went behind my back to nab the permission first instead of telling me what was going on. Yes, Kikuri used the icon but she also used it AFTER I DID. Everyone knows that that icon was mine and that I used it for years. Technically, it's still originally belonging to ME.

I vote we get new icon checkers in general.

When Marcus made the icon FOR Deylin, after he has given it to her it forefeits all entitled owners ship of such to her.


In all honesty, I think that Deylin should be made an icon checked because Relleth and Kikuri have made all of FOUR icons, and have little to no experience with such.


When sending an icon to either or it took me days to get in the icon i had on my red wizard at first before it being removed due to... differances...


I would also like to say that she actually has alot more experience iconing, and she is currently helping me make my new icon for my black wizard.


I just think it would be easier, a quicker and less time consuming person to send one of your icons to, Without being hasseld by an icon checker about "She wasn't Online yet" Yadda yadda I Just wish the best for the icon checker team is all
