Ok so today i submitted an icon. not the best icon in the world obviously but a good icon none the less. it had a few problems and thats why i was submitting it to find out the problems and fix them thats what you do when you want an icon put it make it and then fix whats wrong but instead of him trying to help me fix it he told me and i quote

its honestly the worst submitted ffo icon i've seen

and i went onto say ive seen much worse and other people agreed with me i even told him i know it isnt the best of the best or anything but i really tried and it fits my rp and all. and he responded with

im being hionest
it looks like absolute ****
youd do better making a brand new icon than altering it

this is NOT how a checker should act their job is to admit or deny icons AND help the community learn to icon and make better icon. you cant just say "your icon is **** delete it and restart" like seriously are you ****ing kidding me. You should not be insulting the community who is asking for your help.

And to continue this to say that he insulted me and was fine but he also posted

"One last question, Tyrael, who are you? Post why you think you deserve an icon."

yet in the exact next post

"One last point: Elias is known throughout the community and would certainly be qualified for a custom icon."

wana know the kicker? elias said i am probably more well known and im actually older then him in this game he said it in skype and i can get him to post here if i need to but none the less. this new way of icon checking is terrible and needs major changes. either nabutso needs to step up and act maturely like a checker shoulds or he should do the right thing and step down if he cant handle the job.

if worse comes to worse i would like to vote his status be removed he obviously showed here this process is biased. and this isnt a stab at nab cus my icon got rejected i thought it would but i did not expect this kind of response and certainly dont appreciate it.

I vote for removing him as checker as well. He's abused various positions before (INB4 HE TRIES TO MAKE THIS DISCUSSION ABOUT ME! haha)

This newly proposed system is completely biased and gives Nabutso lots of weight to throw around.

The least biased system would be the system that's in use now, which is ONE reason I'd been pushing for it for such a long time.

I think the community should vote on whether they even want/need icons in the game to begin with and whether or not Nabutso should be an icon checker along with any accompanying rules that go either either choice.

Despite what Nabutso believes the custom icons we've dealt with in the past do produce lag, regardless of how Nabutso thinks 'ICONS AND KILOBYTES AND DATA PROCESSING DUH' work.

This is extremely evident when in pvp involving dock camping. Darlute and friends should be able to back me up on this one since they experienced this last hosting.

plus i believe that nab shud be removed from icon checker he is making up bull**** reasons why some ppl should and should get icons

A icon checkers job is to check over icons that are submitted and explain to the community what the issues are as they are a checker and know what icons have to fit and help players make the cusatom icons they want. as long as the icon fits all the guidelines obviously. while doing this you are not supposed to insult the community, downgrade them for their hard work, and/or talk

so as a checker he doesnt give a **** about the community he just admitted whatever he says goes and he is unwilling to help people with their icon issues. the p[revious iconners and other current iconers are not like this at all. I now strongly request his position is removed this is not what ffo needs. we need unbiased people who want to help the community and nabutso clearly is showing thats not his intent.

Also yeah the lag was pretty intense during pvp given though all or most icons were freaking huge in size for no reason.

The icons i'm accepting will have to be under a certain size and of atleast a certain quality. I don't see why people are mad at me for trying to fix the issues we have now with custom icons.

The reas I asked Deylin a week ago was because there was a byond bug about the custom icons not being uploaded. She told me what was wrong and I fixed it. I've been converting icons to Terulia format before you knew what FFO was, kid.
